Just a few hours’ drive from Mandalay, May Myo (Pyin Oo Lwin) is a sharp contrast to former royal capital. Originally built as a summer resort for the colonial British government in Burma, May Myo is cool, green and quiet all year. The town still retains its former glory in its evergreen parks and gardens, colonial era buildings and old style living.
