The above video is from Youtube of a Burmese (Myanmar) traditional orchestra play ing Yay-Khin-Taw tune. Yay Khin is a special tune, usually reserved for the royal ceremonies. Traditionally, it is a tune used in the Royal court of Burma to wake the King, queens, princes and princess in the morning. A full Burmese orchestra would play this song in the morning in a room close to the King’s chamber, practically serving as an alarm clock. This tune is also used in some royal ceremonies. Nowadays, Myanmar Radio plays this tune as an opening tune for its morning program at 7 am.
